About
Resourceful, curious, and a bit tech-obsessed.
My name is Nathan, but online I’m astrofery. I’m 16, and IT is what gets me out of bed in the morning.
Who I am
I live in Haute-Saône, right next to Switzerland. I’m currently studying for a Bac Pro CIEL (Cybersecurity, IT and Electronic Networks), a French vocational diploma that covers networking, security, electronics and IT as a whole.
I’m serious when I need to be, and fun the rest of the time. I like to laugh and play, and not take myself too seriously, while doing things properly when it counts.

How I learn
I’m very resourceful. I don’t like reading long courses: I’d rather get my hands dirty, try, get it wrong, understand why it broke, and start again. To me that’s how you really learn, far better than blindly following orders without knowing why.
That’s also why I prefer hands-on work to theory. The more I’m put in front of real problems, the faster I progress.
What I’m passionate about
I’ve always loved tinkering: taking things apart, testing, connecting things to see what happens. IT naturally became my playground.
For a while now I’ve also been developing with the help of AI, and it has become my way of creating. I don’t see myself as a mere AI user but as an Engineer Code: an AI-assisted coder who understands what is being built and stays accountable for it. You can see how I go about it on the “AI in my workflow” page.
To unwind, I love video games, especially single-player and gacha games.

Why I build
I don’t code for the sake of coding. I start from real needs: those of my family and friends. When someone close to me runs into a problem, I ask myself how I could improve it, then I build the tool that answers it.
My apprenticeship search
I’ve been looking for an apprenticeship for a long time, with real motivation and a real desire to learn on the job, but so far without success. I’m not giving up: the longer you search, the more determined you get.
If you’re a company in Haute-Saône or the surrounding area, in cybersecurity, IT or networks, and you’re looking for a resourceful, motivated apprentice, write to me: I’d be glad to talk.
My goals
Professional
One day, to be a self-employed Engineer Code with a real office and 5 employees. No matter how long it takes: that’s the direction.
Personal
To live comfortably from my passion, without checking my bank account every 5 minutes. A simple, reasonable goal.
